Arts Award Leadership: Planning the Project

dead zone the movie

Here are some poster ideas I was working on to help generate ideas for content that could be included in the movie trailer. All the footage that was used here was taken from videos on my youtube channel at GAMEER8887 and then converted to a file format for editing through the online programme clip converter

To help get ready for editing the trailer, I put together a short edited piece, based on themes and presets that were already in the I Movie programme.

I now feel ready to edit my video for the trailer.
The Action Planning document made as a group to prepare us for our Leadership project is included here:

Group Discussion:
To begin work on our group project for the zombie film, Dead Zone, we had a discussion in as a group to show action planning for what we needed to do to get started.

Peoples job roles in the pre-production od Dead Zone:

From the group discussion we all decided that Courtney Fleming  and Kieren Dixon to make the posters for our DEAD ZONE film. We did this to advertise Dead zone by sticking them up and around Middlesbrough College she got permission to do so. This would be used to encourage actors and actresses  for the film.

Courtney as director would also be in charge of writing out the pre-production forms, for example booking forms, etc.

Ryan, who would in charge of sound would start off by testing different types of professional mics. After making sure he was comfortable with using different types of mics he would be ready to go out filming as part of the production crew.

Gemma who is in charge of cameras, would be doing a similar job, would start off by trying out cameras to use for the shoot. After making sure she was comfortable with using the camera she would ready to go out filming as part of the production crew.

Kieren as the scriptwriter would draft out different scripts to make sure we have something that has been read by everyone before we start filming. After the script has been ready and approved by Courtney as director we would be ready to film.

As for me, I would begin by editing trailers based on found footage from Internet to make sure I was comfortable with using the software.  Once that was completed and the footage had been shot, I would be ready to do the editing.

Reflection on how my Leadership Skills are developing:
I am pleased with how the project is going so far, but will feel happier when the footage has actually been shot! Working with the themes preset in I Movie is ok, but very limiting in that each scene has to ba set number of seconds long. It is a useful feature, however!

Stages of Planning for my leadership project are included in the Interview below (scribed by Kevin Trundley)
